Results of the madridistas called up by their national teams

The following madridistas have been called up by their national teams to contest international games during June: Dani Carvajal and Marco Asensio (Spain) Eden Hazard (Belgium), Karim Benzema and Aurelien Tchouameni (France), Luke Modric (Croatia), David Alaba (Austria), Anotonio Rudiger (Germany), Luca Jovic (Serbia), Andrew Lunin (Ukraine), Casemiro, Militao, Vinny Jr. and Rodrygo (Brazil), Fede Valverde (Uruguay) and Eduardo Camavinga (France U-21).

Spain v Czech Republic (2-0)
Spain v Portugal (1-1)

Czech Republic v Spain (2-2)
Switzerland v Spain (0-1)

Spain ended the international window top of their Nations League group after beating Czech Republic. Carvajal and Asensio both started the game and the Balearic Islands-born attacker claimed an assist in the team’s opening goal. In their previous outing, Spain beat Switzerland by a single goal at the Stade de Genève. Asensio came on in the second half in that match, while Carvajal didn’t feature. In the previous clash, Carvajal played from the start and Asensio came on in the second half, assisting Íñigo Martínez in the 2-2 stalemate against Czech Republic. Neither of the pair were involved in the draw against Portugal.

Belgium v ​​Poland (6-1)
Belgium brought the curtain down on their games with a win over Poland in Warsaw, an encounter in which Hazard played 67 minutes. The Belgians began this run of matches with defeat in the Nations League in a game in which the attacker played the first half. In their next outing, Hazard played from the start and provided an assist as Belgium ran riot against Poland, whilst he featured for the last 18 minutes against Wales.

In France’s final outing, against Croatia, Benzema completed the full 90 minutes, while Tchouameni played the second 45 minutes. The hitman netted a fine goal in the Nations League opener against Denmark and played no part in the draw against Croatia, whilst he completed the full match against Austria. The midfielder, meanwhile, started all three games.

Modric converted a fifth-minute penalty that handed Croatia an away win over France.
The madridista had previously picked up his 150th international cap in his national team’s second outing, in which he played 79 minutes against France. Modrić came on for the final 33 minutes in the game against Austria and he featured in the second half in the win over Denmark.

Denmark v Austria (2-0)
Austria rounded off their games with an away defeat at the hands of Denmark in a match in which Alaba played no part. The madridista was named in the starting line-up and played the full 90 minutes in defeat to Denmark in Vienna. He was not involved in the impressive win over Croatia and featured for 69 minutes in his side’s stalemate against Benzema‘s France.

Germany v England (1-1)
completed the full 90 minutes in Germany’s win over Italy at Borussia-Park. The new Real Madrid signing earlier played the full games in Germany’s draws against England and Italy. The defender did not feature against Hungary.

Serbia v Norway (0-1)

Serbia v Slovenia (4-1)
Jovic came on for the last 35 minutes in Serbia’s stalemate against Slovenia in their final outing of the current international window. The frontman played a key role in Serbia’s win over Sweden, netting the game’s only goal on the stroke of half-time. The madridista also scored a headed goal against Slovenia.

Republic of Ireland v Ukraine (0-1)
‘s Ukraine next face the Republic of Ireland in the Nations League. The goalkeeper played the full 90 minutes in the win over Ireland, keeping a clean sheet. He did not feature against Armenia, Scotland or Wales.

South Korea v Brazil (1-5)
Japan v Brazil (0-1)
Brazil contested two friendly games. in their first outing, Casemiro and Vinny Jr. featured in the triumph against South Korea in Seoul, whilst Militao, Casemiro and Vini Jr. were all starters as Brazil saw off Japan at Tokyo National Stadium. Rodrygo played no part in either game.

Mexico v Uruguay (0-3)

USA v Uruguay (0-0)
Valverde was named in the starting line-up and played 75 minutes of Uruguay’s home win against Panama, in what was the last of their three friendly fixtures in June. The madridista played the full 90 minutes in the win over Mexico at the State Farm Stadium. In his team’s draw with the USA, Valverde came off the bench in the second half.

France U-21 v Serbia U-21 (2-0)

Armenia U-21 v France U-21 (1-4)
Camavinga was in the starting line-up in for France U-21’s first two victories against Armenia and Serbia, laying on an assist against the latter. In the draw with Ukraine, the madridista came on in the second half. The results mean France U-21s have qualified for the upcoming EURO.
